     In October 2006, we received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for our product ArteFill®, the first and only non-resorbable aesthetic injectable implant for the correction of  nasolabial folds or smile lines.

     We have established a fully integrated 35,000 sq ft current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) dedicated manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters in San Diego, where ArteFill is produced. 

     Our platform technology is based on both our proprietary precision-filtered injectable microspheres and purified bovine collagen. The microspheres are suspended within the collagen carrier, which is manufactured from cowhides that are derived from a controlled, BSE-free, U.S. herd. ArteFill is a unique dual-acting injectable wrinkle filler. First, ArteFill visibly corrects the wrinkle. Then the microspheres provide the permanent support your skin needs for long-term wrinkle correction. All treatment options are cost-effective outpatient procedures that yield instant results.
